Man arrested on child pornography charge in Glens Falls

GLENS FALLS, NY — A 30-year-old Glens Falls man was arrested on a federal child pornography charge following a multi-agency investigation that began in December.

Dylan T. Taylor was taken into custody March 9 at his Division Street residence on a federal arrest warrant charging him with receipt of child pornography.

The Glens Falls Police Department was contacted Dec. 23 by the George County Sheriff’s Office in Lucedale, Mississippi, requesting assistance in investigating a report that an adult male residing in Glens Falls was exchanging illicit photographs with a juvenile female in their jurisdiction.

Police identified the suspect as Taylor.

A search warrant for Taylor’s residence was obtained and executed March 4 with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations.

Multiple electronic devices were seized during the search.

The case was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.

A federal arrest warrant was issued March 9 charging Taylor with receipt of child pornography in violation of 18 U.S.C. 2252A(a)(2)(A).

Glens Falls police returned to Taylor’s residence where he was taken into custody without incident.

Taylor was transferred to Homeland Security Investigations, where he was arraigned on the charge.

He is being held at Rensselaer County Jail pending further court proceedings.
