MOUNT MORRIS, NY — A Nassau County man was arrested on felony charges following a road rage incident at an intersection.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of State Route 63 and 408 at approximately 10:48 a.m. on April 12 for a reported traffic complaint involving road rage.
It was reported that an occupant from one vehicle had gotten out of their vehicle that was stopped at an intersection and caused damage to another vehicle that was also stopped.
The individual who had caused damage had gotten back into a vehicle and left the area, according to reports.
The New York State Police later located the suspect vehicle on Interstate 390 and conducted a traffic stop.
Deputies responded and made contact with Frank Sforza, 43, of Massapequa.
Sforza was taken into custody by Deputy Alyssa Cornelius and charged with felony criminal mischief in the third degree and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.
Sforza was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing.
He was processed and released with an appearance ticket to return to the Village of Mt. Morris Court at a later date.
Assisting with the investigation were the New York State Police and the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Identification Unit.
