MERIDEN, CT — A man was arrested following a stabbing early Saturday morning that left one person hospitalized with multiple stab wounds.
Meriden police received a call about a stabbing at 19 Summary Street at approximately 4:57 a.m.
Officers arrived to find a single victim with multiple non-fatal stab wounds.
The victim was transported to the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
Police quickly identified the suspect as Chyquaan Adams, 36, of Meriden, determined his location and took him into custody without incident.
The Detective Division responded to assist with the investigation.
Police determined there had been a dispute earlier in the evening between the victim and Adams.
After the initial altercation, Adams returned to the victim’s RV and entered uninvited, according to police.
Adams refused to leave and a physical altercation began between him and the victim, police said.
Adams then stabbed the victim and fled on foot from the RV, according to police.
Adams was charged with home invasion, assault in the first degree, carrying a dangerous weapon, criminal trespass in the first degree and disorderly conduct.
He is being held on $750,000 bond.
