WILLIMANTIC, CT — Police are investigating gunshots fired on Main Street early Friday morning.
Officers responded to 445 Main Street at approximately 3:49 a.m. for a report of multiple gunshots.
The incident followed an earlier response at approximately 3:05 a.m., where officers responded to 461 Main Street for a report of a physical disturbance.
Detectives are working to determine if the gunfire is related to the earlier physical altercation or if it was a separate event.
At this time, it does not appear that any person was specifically targeted during the discharge of the firearm.
There have been no injuries associated with the discharge of a firearm.
The Willimantic Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed these events or captured the incident on security cameras or cellphone cameras to contact the department at 860-465-3135.
