BLUE HILL, ME — The State Fire Marshal’s Office has determined that careless disposal of smoking materials caused a structure fire on Kingdom Road.
The Blue Hill Fire Department responded to 76 Kingdom Road at approximately 5:59 p.m. Saturday following reports of a structure fire.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office was requested to investigate the origin and cause of the fire.
Investigators responded to the scene Sunday during daylight hours.
Following their investigation, the fire was determined to have been caused by the careless disposal of smoking materials.
The incident has been classified as accidental.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
