NEWTON, NJ — A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Water Street near East Clinton Street on April 10, 2026.
The Newton Police Department responded to the incident at approximately 8:10 p.m.
Officers provided life-saving measures before the pedestrian was transported to an area trauma center.
A portion of Water Street was temporarily closed.
The incident remains under investigation in conjunction with the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
