PITTSFIELD, NY — A New York Mills man faces felony weapons and domestic violence charges following an incident Saturday.
Devin J. Sanchez, 26, of New York Mills, was arrested by the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office after a physical domestic dispute.
Authorities say Sanchez obstructed the victim’s breathing by restraining the victim by the neck during the dispute.
Sanchez also allegedly shoved the victim, causing the victim’s head to strike a wall.
During the investigation, deputies discovered Sanchez possessed an unregistered and unserialized ghost gun.
Sanchez was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, a felony, criminal possession of a weapon for the ghost gun, second-degree harassment involving physical contact and criminal obstruction of breathing.
He was held at the Otsego County Jail pending centralized arraignment in Town of Pittsfield Court.
