SCRIBA, NY — New York State Police arrested a 55-year-old man on multiple child sex abuse charges on April 7, 2026.
Kevin C. Hoyt, of Scriba, faces charges of use of a child in a sexual performance, a class C felony; sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D felony; two counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child, class E felonies; and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
The investigation began following a third-party report alleging the sexual abuse of a child victim.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Hoyt’s residence and seized electronic devices that contained images depicting the abuse, according to police.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the State Police Fulton Bureau of Criminal Investigations, the Troop D Computer Crimes Unit, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Hoyt was transported to the Oswego County Jail following arraignment.
He is being held on $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 bond, or $50,000 partially secured bond.
