WHITE PLAINS, NY — A Queens man faces multiple felony charges in connection with a sexual assault that occurred Tuesday in the City Center.
Xavier Fonseca Overton, 22, of Astoria, was arrested and charged with five counts of rape in the first degree, a class B felony, and one count of sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D felony, according to the White Plains Police Department.
Overton is scheduled to be arraigned today in White Plains City Court.
Police said the suspect and victim were known to each other prior to the assault.
No further details regarding the incident will be released to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation and the privacy of the victim, police said.
