GREENPORT, NY — A 45-year-old man faces felony drug charges following a multi-agency investigation that resulted in the seizure of more than 500 grams of cocaine in Columbia and Rensselaer counties.
Members of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the Criminal Investigative Branch and Uniformed Deputies, executed a search warrant on Feb. 6, 2026, at an apartment on Pulcher Avenue in the Town of Greenport and a 2024 Jeep Wrangler.
Approximately 33 grams of crack cocaine was recovered during the search in Columbia County.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Troy Police Department and the Capital District Drug Task Force-DEA, who also executed a search warrant on Feb. 6, 2026, at an apartment at 2 River Street in the City of Troy.
Approximately 485 grams of cocaine was recovered from the Troy apartment.
Clye V. Clark, 45, was arrested on April 8, 2026, in Columbia County and charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (narcotic drug intent to sell), a B felony, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (narcotic drug more than one-half ounce), a B felony.
Clark was arraigned before Judge Porreca of the Town of Greenport Court and released on his own recognizance.
He was ordered to return to court on May 4, 2026.
Clark was then placed into custody on an arrest warrant issued by Rensselaer County Court for one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree (narcotic more than 8 ounces), an A-1 felony, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (narcotic drug intent to sell).
Clark was turned over to the City of Troy Police Department and later arraigned before Judge Jennifer Sober of Rensselaer County Court.
Bail was set at $60,000 cash, $60,000 bond or $200,000 partially secured bond.
The Columbia County District Attorney’s Office and the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.
