Man sought in Augusta investigation

AUGUSTA, ME — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man connected to an ongoing investigation.

The Augusta Police Department released a photo of the individual as part of its weekly “Wanted Wednesday Alert” program.

Officials did not disclose the nature of the incident under investigation, citing the need to protect the integrity of the case.

Police said investigations can involve various offenses including assault, hit and run, credit card fraud, forgery or theft.

Store surveillance cameras and home security systems are commonly used to help identify suspects, according to the department.
