BOONVILLE, NY — A Port Leyden woman has been arrested for serving alcohol without a liquor license at a tavern in the Town of Boonville.
Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol said the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in February from the New York State Liquor Authority indicating that Rookies Riverside Tavern, located on Moose River Road, had a liquor license that expired in November but was still serving alcohol to customers.
The investigation was turned over to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
After the investigation concluded, it was determined that the establishment was still serving alcohol despite the expired liquor license.
On April 6, 2026, Danielle Jones, 52, of Port Leyden, was arrested and charged with one count of selling alcohol without a license, an unclassified misdemeanor under the Alcohol Beverage Control Law.
Jones was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Boonville Town Court in May.
