Three arrested on various charges in South Windsor

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor Police Department made three arrests on Monday on various charges ranging from failure to appear to operating under the influence.

Daniel Tamkun, 35, of South Windsor, was arrested at 7:25 a.m. on an active failure to appear arrest warrant.

Tamkun turned himself in at police headquarters and was processed and held on a court set $30,000 surety bond.

He was transported to Manchester Superior Court and presented on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Kyle M. Cormier, 33, of South Windsor, was arrested at 11:57 a.m. on an active arrest warrant for larceny in the sixth degree.

Cormier’s charge stems from a February theft of a $200 tablet from Pride Gas Station at 1049 John Fitch Boulevard.

Cormier was taken into custody by the East Windsor Police Department and transferred to South Windsor Police Department custody, where he was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on April 22 at 9 a.m.

Precious A. Edwards, 28, of New Britain, was arrested at 1:03 p.m. on an active arrest warrant for operating under the influence and threatening in the second degree.

Edwards’ charges stem from a January investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the area of John Fitch Boulevard and Governor’s Highway.

During the accident investigation, it was believed Edwards was under the influence of alcohol.

Additionally, Edwards threatened to kill an EMT who was providing her care after the accident.

An arrest warrant was sought and Edwards turned herself in at police headquarters and was processed and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on April 22 at 9 a.m.
