BOSTON, MA — A Hyde Park man was arrested on drug trafficking charges following an investigation in Roxbury on Tuesday afternoon.
Willie Quinerly, 42, of Hyde Park, was taken into custody at about 12:32 p.m. April 7 in the area of Ruggles Street and Washington Street.
Members of the District B-2 (Roxbury) and Citywide Drug Control Units were on directed patrol in the Nubian Square area when they observed an apparent drug transaction, according to Boston police.
Officers conducted a search of Quinerly and recovered 21 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, police said.
Quinerly is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of trafficking a Class B substance and distribution of a Class B substance.
