BRIDGEPORT, CT — The Bridgeport Police Homicide Unit is seeking new information from the public in the unsolved murder of Heriberto Marquez on what would have been his 30th birthday.
Marquez was shot and killed execution style near the corner of Iranistan Avenue and Hanover Street shortly before midnight on Aug. 29, 2020.
Detectives have established persons of interest in the case.
The Marquez case was featured in the second episode of Park City Confidential, the department’s cold case murder video series, in 2024.
