NORWALK, CT — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Wall Street and Commerce Street on April 5, 2026.
Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple 911 calls at 7:43 p.m. reporting that a pedestrian had been struck in the area of 7 Commerce Street.
Norwalk Police, the Norwalk Fire Department and Norwalk Hospital EMS responded to the scene.
Patrol officers located a 29-year-old male in the roadway.
First responders provided emergency medical care and transported the victim to Norwalk Hospital.
The Norwalk Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and Identification Unit responded to process the scene and investigate.
According to preliminary findings, the vehicle was traveling westbound on Wall Street and turning southbound onto Commerce Street at the time of the collision.
The pedestrian was crossing northbound within the intersection.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The accident remains under active investigation.
