ATV operator dies in crash in Corinth

CORINTH, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a fatal ATV crash that occurred April 5, 2026.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were notified of an ATV rollover at approximately 5:42 p.m. at the intersection of Turkey Hill Road and Goose Green Road.

The operator was identified as Lorin Burt, 38, of Corinth.

The initial investigation revealed Burt was traveling southwest on Turkey Hill Road, made an abrupt turn, and was ejected from the 2026 Polaris Sportsman ATV.

Upper Valley Ambulance responded and performed life saving measures, but Burt was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Burt was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy.

The ATV sustained minor damage.

Road conditions were wet gravel and weather was clear at the time of the crash.

Vermont State Police were assisted by Upper Valley Ambulance and the Corinth/Topsham FAST Squad.
