JOHNSON, VT — A motorist was cited for excessive speed after being clocked at 100 mph in a 50 mph zone April 4.
Vermont State Police observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Vermont Route 15 near Willow Crossing at approximately 10:52 p.m.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Christopher Hamel, 47, of Essex Junction.
Hamel was cited for excessive speed and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Lamoille Criminal Division on May 13, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
