Two arrested on drug charges in Greenbush

GREENBUSH, ME — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Main Road on April 2, 2026, seizing cocaine and fentanyl.

The warrant was served at approximately 2:15 p.m. as part of a multi-month investigation into drug trafficking activities.

Two individuals were arrested at the scene.

Monroe Richardson, 62, of Connecticut, was charged with unlawful trafficking of drugs, falsifying physical evidence and misuse of identification.

Starr Russell was charged with unlawful possession of schedule drugs, falsifying physical evidence, an outstanding arrest warrant and four counts of violation of conditional release.

K-9 Memphis was deployed to the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Old Town Fire Department.
