ALBANY, NY — Albany police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Friday afternoon in Washington Park.
Officers responded to the park just north of the New Scotland Avenue entrance around 2:30 p.m. April 3, 2026, for reports of an individual stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old male with stab wounds to his legs and back area.
The victim was treated on scene by the Albany Fire Department and Emergency Medical Personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
