LANCASTER, PA — Police arrested an 18-year-old man Thursday after he allegedly stole a running vehicle from a shopping center parking lot.
At 1:49 p.m. April 2, 2026, police were dispatched to the parking lot of Regency Square Shopping Center at 153 Rohrerstown Rd. for a vehicle theft that had just occurred.
It was reported that a male had entered a gray 2014 Cadillac ATS that was unoccupied with the engine running and fled the location.
Within minutes of dispatch, Manor Township Police located the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of 31 Millersville Rd.
A foot pursuit of the male who was operating the stolen vehicle ensued, and he was subsequently taken into custody without further incident by police.
The male suspect was identified as Jaquan Bell, 18, of Lancaster.
In the course of the theft, a vehicle in the parking lot of the shopping center was struck.
Additionally, Bell was found to be in possession of a suspected marijuana vape pen.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
Bell was charged with theft by unlawful taking, hit and run and possession of a controlled substance.
