WARWICK, RI — A Providence woman was arrested Wednesday morning after state police stopped a stolen vehicle on the Airport Connector.

Karin Murchy, 51, of Providence, was taken into custody at 10:35 a.m. on a charge of driving without consent of owner or lessee.

The arrest followed a be-on-the-lookout alert for a stolen motor vehicle, according to Rhode Island State Police.

Murchy was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks for processing before being taken to Third Division District Court for arraignment.

In a separate incident Wednesday, troopers arrested William Pinzone, 64, of Venice, Florida, at 4:40 p.m. on charges of false report of crime and forgery and counterfeiting.

The arrest occurred after a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich following a be-on-the-lookout alert for an erratic operator.

Pinzone was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
