LANCASTER, PA — A 39-year-old man was arrested after police say he forced a 14-year-old to drive a car with two other children inside.
Zacharry S. Rasua, of Lancaster, was taken into custody at approximately 10:22 p.m. March 29 and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
West Lampeter Township police received a report March 28 at 3 p.m. of possible child endangerment involving a 14-year-old being forced to drive a car by an adult male.
Police conducted an investigation and interviews regarding the incident.
Authorities allege Rasua forced a juvenile family member to drive a car within Lancaster County Central Park even though the juvenile did not want to do so.
An 8-year-old and a 2-year-old were also in the vehicle at the time, according to police.
The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office was consulted about the investigation.
West Lampeter Township Police brought the charges against Rasua before Magisterial District Judge Benner, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
After his arraignment, Rasua was remanded to Lancaster County Prison and is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
