CHARLTON, MA — The Charlton Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday morning.
The crash was reported at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Route 20 in Charlton.
The operator of one vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator of a second vehicle was transported by LifeFlight to UMass Memorial Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The identity of those involved will not be released at this time.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Charlton Police Department, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, State Police Crime Scene Services, State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
