GARDINER, ME — Two people were arrested on drug trafficking charges following a disturbance call that led to the discovery of cocaine and a firearm.
Sgt. Kaleb Marston, Officer Noah Lebel and Officer Matthew Hunt responded to a disturbance complaint on West Hill Road on the evening of March 31.
While investigating the complaint, officers observed what was believed to be illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in a residence.
The residence was secured and a search warrant was obtained and executed.
Officers discovered 107 grams of cocaine, 36 grams of crack cocaine, a 9mm handgun and cash along with large amounts of drug paraphernalia.
One occupant was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, possession of firearms prohibited for certain persons and violation of condition of release.
The second occupant was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and violation of condition of release.
