BOONVILLE, NY — A 22-year-old man was injured after his pickup truck left the roadway and struck a tree on March 31, 2026.
Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to a cell phone crash notification on Jackson Hill Road at around 7:45 p.m., according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.
An investigation found that Michael Crofoot, of Ava, was operating a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck before exiting the roadway and colliding with a tree.
Crofoot was transported to WYNN Hospital by Boonville Ambulance to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A deputy from the STOP DWI Unit responded to assist with the investigation, which is ongoing.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, the Boonville Fire Department and Boonville Ambulance.
