Man arrested on sexual assault charge in Dunbarton

DUNBARTON, NH — A Manchester man has been arrested following a lengthy investigation into alleged sexual assaults dating back to the early 2000s.

Clint Middlemiss, 51, of Manchester, was taken into custody Tuesday by the Londonderry Police Department on a Dunbarton Police Department arrest warrant.

He is charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault – pattern, a special felony.

Middlemiss was transferred to the custody of the Dunbarton Police Department and transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections.

He was held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in 6th Circuit Court in Concord.

Police said Middlemiss is a registered offender related to a 2003 federal conviction for possession of child sexual abuse images.

He is alleged to have engaged in a pattern of sexual assaults against a victim who was a juvenile at the time and known to Middlemiss, according to police.

The case dates back to the early 2000s while Middlemiss was living in Dunbarton.

The Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted in the investigation.
