COLLINS, NY — A pedestrian was struck and killed on State Route 39 on March 28, 2026.
Troopers out of SP Collins responded to the vehicle collision at 6:32 a.m.
Investigation determined that a 2013 Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound on State Route 39 and struck Patrick E. Kerby, 47, of Fleming, Florida, who was walking in the lane of travel.
The 52-year-old operator was cooperative with no signs of impairment.
EMS and Collins Fire Department responded to assist.
Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and removed the deceased for postmortem examination.
