BRASHER, NY — New York State Police have charged a Brasher Falls man with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Steven J. Robinson, 30, of Brasher Falls, was charged March 30 with assault in the 3rd degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
Troopers responded to Dullea Road in the town of Brasher at approximately 4:04 p.m. March 25 for a reported domestic dispute.
An investigation determined that Robinson became upset March 24 and allegedly grabbed a 9-year-old victim by the throat, kicked the child’s feet out from under them, and struck the child’s head against a wooden shelf, causing visible bruising.
The incident was reported the following day by the victim and the child’s mother.
Robinson was arrested and transported to SP Massena for processing.
He was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Brasher Court at a later date in April.
