STOCKBRIDGE, VT — A driver was arrested on a DUI charge following a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 100 on March 31, 2026.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks responded to the crash at approximately 3:03 p.m.
The operator was identified as Maleki Nichols, 23, of no fixed address.
While investigating the crash, troopers detected signs of impairment from Nichols.
Nichols was arrested and transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks for processing.
The 2007 Honda Accord was totaled in the crash.
No injuries were reported.
Nichols was released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, to answer to the charge of driving under the influence.
Road conditions were wet and weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.
