PORTLAND, ME — Two men were arrested following a drug investigation on Temple Street on March 29, 2026.
Officers from the Portland Police Department responded to 15 Temple Street at approximately 9:14 a.m. after a business owner requested that two men be trespassed from the property.
Upon arrival, officers observed one individual pass an item to the other in what appeared to be an attempt to conceal it.
During the encounter, one of the men dropped a baggie containing suspected drugs, and both individuals were subsequently detained and searched.
Officers recovered approximately 41 grams of fentanyl and 13.6 grams of methamphetamine.
Timothy Clark, 56, who is unhoused, was arrested and charged with Violating Conditions of Release, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Fentanyl, and Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs.
Derek Weeks, 46, who is unhoused, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Both men were transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
