Man arrested on retail theft, related charges in Stroudsburg

STROUDSBURG, PA — A 27-year-old Pennsylvania man was arrested on retail theft and related charges following an incident at a local restaurant.

Camron Deval Culver was taken into custody by Stroud Area Regional Police on May 31, 2024, after allegedly fleeing from officers.

Police were dispatched to Cluck U Chicken at 3:43 p.m. for a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance.

The male had fled the scene prior to police arrival after allegedly taking beer from the cooler, according to police.

An officer located the suspect in the area of McConnell Street and 2nd Street.

When the officer informed the male he was detained for possible retail theft, the suspect identified as Culver stated, “I’m not doing that,” dropped the beer and began to flee, police said.

Culver was taken into custody after a foot pursuit and was tased after refusing to follow officers’ orders, according to police.

He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Culver was later arrested by the Allentown Police Department on March 28, 2026, and was found to have an outstanding warrant from Stroud Area Regional Police as well as a warrant from New York.

He is currently incarcerated in the Lehigh County Jail.

Culver is charged with disorderly conduct, evading arrest or detention on foot, retail theft and public drunkenness.
