MONTPELIER, VT — Police arrested a man after multiple people were injured in a parking lot altercation on March 28.

Officers responded to Christ Church at 64 State St. at approximately 5:41 p.m. for a report of an active physical altercation in the back parking lot.

Officers located multiple members of the unhoused population who had been injured during the assault.

Investigation led officers to believe Solomon Valle, 32, of Barre, was the cause of the disturbance and dominant aggressor.

Valle had fled the area prior to police arrival.

Valle was located walking near the scene a short time later and was arrested by Montpelier police officers.

Valle was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility by Probation and Parole due to his alleged actions being in violation of his probation conditions.

Valle was cited to appear in Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on March 30 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct.
