SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A local man was arrested on drug charges following a motor vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.
Dylan J. Engle, 32, of South Windsor, was taken into custody at 3:53 p.m. after police responded to Hollis Road for a motor vehicle accident.
An Amazon driver had backed into a vehicle parked in the roadway, according to police.
During the investigation, officers determined that Engle, the registered owner of the vehicle that was struck, had an active arrest warrant from the Middletown Police Department.
Engle was taken into custody and during a search incident to arrest, officers located drug paraphernalia and 4 grams of suspected cocaine.
He was processed and released to Middletown police on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Engle is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on April 15 at 9 a.m.
