ROCKLAND, ME — Police have arrested a 60-year-old man in connection with a burglary at an apartment where a safe was stolen and the residence was doused with liquid skunk essence.
Rockland Police took a report of the burglary on March 23, 2026.
The Criminal Investigation Division determined the offender had entered the apartment while the owner was on vacation.
Detectives obtained video from nearby businesses and recovered items associated with the crime from a dumpster.
On March 26, 2026, Rockland detectives, with assistance from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant on a residence in Whitefield.
Robert King Jr., 60, of Whitefield, was arrested later that day on a warrant charging him with felony burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and theft.
