EAST LYME, CT — Police have arrested a Maryland man accused of burglarizing a home where he had previously worked as a contractor.
Robert Millwood, 42, of Maryland, was taken into custody March 25, 2026, and charged with burglary and first-degree larceny.
An East Lyme resident reported the burglary in November.
The victim reported $150,000 in cash and several pieces of jewelry were stolen.
East Lyme detectives identified Millwood as a suspect after learning he had completed contractor work at the home.
Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Millwood and attempted to interview him, but he fled to Jamaica, police said.
Homeland Security agents detained Millwood at Baltimore Airport when he returned to the United States.
East Lyme investigators traveled to Maryland to take Millwood into custody.
He was held on $150,000 bond.
