WOONSOCKET, RI — A man was arrested on a drug charge following a motor vehicle stop on River Street.
Luke Anastas, 33, of Woonsocket, was taken into custody at noon on a charge of possession of a controlled substance 10 grams or less (crack cocaine).
Troopers from the Scituate Barracks conducted the traffic stop that led to the arrest.
Anastas was transported to state police headquarters where he was processed.
He was arraigned by a justice of the peace as a probation violator.
Anastas was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center pending morning arraignment.
