WOONSOCKET, RI — A Woonsocket man was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on Manville Road.
Robert Heroux, 38, of Woonsocket, was taken into custody at 5:37 p.m. on a Sixth District bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a charge of possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance.
The warrant originated from the State Police Lincoln Barracks.
Heroux was transported to State Police headquarters for processing and later taken to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center.
In a separate incident at 8:54 p.m., troopers arrested Julio Santos, 37, of Woonsocket, following a traffic stop on Social Street.
Santos was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, first offense; refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense; and an arrest warrant issued by the Woonsocket Police Department for domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property.
Santos was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
He was later turned over to the Woonsocket Police Department.
