ROXBURY, VT — A 24-year-old woman was arrested on multiple charges following a reported burglary and assault at a residence on Steele Hill Road on March 24, 2026.
State police responded to the scene at 8:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a burglary and an assault involving a weapon.
The victim was identified as Paulette Langlois, 79, of Roxbury.
Jillian Brown, 24, a transient, was charged with aggravated assault, burglary, unlawful trespass into a motor vehicle and possession of dangerous weapons during the commission of a felony.
Brown was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
She was then brought to Vermont Superior Court, Washington Criminal Division.
Brown was held without bail and provided conditions of release.
