RHINEBECK, NY — A Hyde Park man was arrested early Saturday morning after state police responded to a report of unauthorized vehicle use in the Village of Rhinebeck.
New York State Police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:50 a.m. on March 21, 2026.
Troopers located an unoccupied vehicle on East Market Street and found the suspect in the area, where he was taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as Issac S. Iselin, 37, of Hyde Park.
An investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Rhinebeck determined that Iselin burglarized a family member’s home, used a vehicle without consent and stole several items from the residence before being apprehended.
Iselin was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony; first-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, a class D felony; fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor; and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.
Iselin was arraigned in the Town of Rhinebeck Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in lieu of $50,000 cash, $100,000 bond or a $200,000 partially secured bond.
