ROYALTON, NY — Multiple 911 calls reported a motor vehicle accident with a possible ejection at the intersection of Hartland Road and Slayton Settlement Road on Tuesday at 12:11 p.m.

The crash involved a passenger vehicle and a dump truck, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

First-arriving patrol units confirmed that the driver of the passenger vehicle had been partially ejected.

EMS and fire/rescue personnel arrived shortly thereafter and assumed patient care.

An investigation at the scene determined that a 2014 Kia Sedona, traveling eastbound on Slayton Settlement Road, failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2020 Peterbilt dump truck traveling northbound on Hartland Road.

The female driver of the Kia Sedona was airlifted to ECMC by Mercy Flight of Western New York with non-life-threatening injuries.

Vehicle and traffic violation charges are pending further investigation.
