Woman sought in identity theft case in Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — State police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected of attempting to cash a stolen check at a bank.

An unidentified woman entered KeyBank on Merrow Road on Nov. 21 at approximately 1:05 p.m. and attempted to cash a check using identification that had recently been stolen from a victim, according to Connecticut State Police Troop K in Colchester.

The transaction was denied, and the suspect left without incident.

The suspect is described as a white woman, approximately 40 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build.

She was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt.
