Woman arrested on DUI charge in Tunbridge

TUNBRIDGE, VT — A Corinth woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks were dispatched to VT Route 110 near the intersection of Monarch Hill Road at approximately 3:10 a.m. March 23.

Following an investigation, troopers determined the operator, Shannon C. Gaetz, 48, of Corinth, had operated a motor vehicle in a negligent manner.

While on scene, troopers observed indicators of impairment.

Gaetz was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Hartford Police Department for processing.

She was released with a criminal citation to appear at Orange County Superior Court on April 22 at 8:30 a.m.

Gaetz was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Her 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe sustained significant front end, passenger and driver side damage.

Road conditions were wet and weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.
