LAKEWOOD, NY — A woman was arrested early Saturday following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of methamphetamine and heroin.
Tammy L. Furlow was taken into custody at 1:17 a.m. March 21, 2026, near the intersection of Chautauqua Avenue and Summit Avenue in the Village of Lakewood.
Police said an investigation during the traffic stop revealed Furlow was in possession of 13 small plastic baggies, each tied off and containing a white substance.
The substances later tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin, according to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department.
Furlow was transported to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department for processing and later to the county jail for centralized arraignment.
She was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh, fourth and third degrees.
Furlow was also charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree and traffic infractions.
