SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Massachusetts man was arrested on drunken driving charges after police received reports of a vehicle swerving on roadways.
Carlos M. Dones, 41, of Worcester, Massachusetts, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Saturday.
South Windsor police officers responded to the area of John Fitch Boulevard and Sullivan Avenue for reports of a vehicle swerving all over the roadway.
Officers located the vehicle in the area of Oakland Road and Slater Street and identified Dones as the operator.
During the investigation, officers believed Dones was under the influence of alcohol.
He consented to standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed.
Dones was taken into custody and processed.
He was released on a $1,200 non-surety bond.
Dones is also charged with failure to drive in proper lane.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on April 6 at 9 a.m.
