HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 14-year-old boy injured Monday morning.
Hartford Police patrol officers were dispatched to the area of 22 East Street at approximately 6:45 a.m. on a report of a gunshot victim.
Officers located the 14-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police do not believe the incident occurred on East Street, and the exact location of the shooting remains under investigation.
The Hartford Police Department Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions have assumed the investigation.
