ELMIRA, NY — Two people were stabbed during a disturbance on Harriet Street late Thursday night, according to police.
Elmira Police officers responded to 150 Harriet St. Building 4 at approximately 10:49 p.m. for a disturbance.
While responding, officers were advised that a victim may have a stab wound.
Upon arrival, officers found two victims with stab wounds in need of emergency medical attention.
During the investigation, police determined that Allahvelle Carston had stabbed the two victims after a verbal disturbance.
Both victims were transported by Erway Ambulance to Robert Packer Hospital and are in stable condition.
Carston also received injuries during the disturbance but refused medical attention on scene.
Carston was charged with assault in the first degree, a class B felony, and assault in the second degree, a class D felony.
The investigation is ongoing.
