NORWOOD, MA — A Norwood police officer has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on a drunken driving charge.
Officer Shawn Willman was arrested Thursday on a charge of operating under the influence of alcohol, according to a statement from the Norwood Police Department.
Willman was off duty at the time of the arrest.
The officer’s leave is pending the outcome of the criminal case and an internal affairs investigation being conducted by the department, according to Police Chief Christopher Padden.
