Man arrested on domestic violation charge in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A Johnston man was arrested Saturday on a domestic violation charge following a traffic stop on Route 195.

Michael Pacheco, 48, of Johnston, was taken into custody at 2:30 p.m. and charged with Domestic Violation of a No Contact Order – Third Offense, according to Rhode Island State Police.

Pacheco was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

In a separate incident, a Providence man was arrested early Sunday on a vandalism warrant during a traffic stop on Atwells Avenue in Providence.

Frankie Matos, 48, of Providence, was arrested at 1:02 a.m. on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Vandalism originating from the Providence Police Department.

Matos was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
