MORRISTOWN, NJ — Authorities have filed charges against a man accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal crash that killed a pedestrian.
Wilson “Adrian” Morocho-Necta, 33, of Morristown, is wanted in connection with the March 20 incident and remains at large.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Morristown Police Chief Darnell Richardson announced the charges.
At approximately 6:53 a.m. on March 20, Morristown Police, Morristown Fire, and EMS responded to Sussex Avenue at Speedwell Place for a report of a person pinned under a truck.
The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center and was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the truck fled on foot.
An investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morristown Police, and Morris County Sheriff’s Office identified Morocho-Necta as the alleged driver.
Morocho-Necta has been charged by warrant complaint with one count of second degree Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death and third degree Endangering an Injured Victim – Leaving the Scene.
The defendant is commonly known as “Adrian.”
